To maintain a safe and productive learning environment, students in my classroom are expected to follow the Middle School PBIS Cricket Code of Character. Below are the there pillars of the code, along with examples of behaviors that fit into each:
Live Respectfully
-
Listen to all adults.
-
Use kind words.
Live Responsibly
-
Be prepared.
-
Do your work.
-
Tell the truth.
-
Use agenda daily.
Live Safely
-
Keep hands, feet, and objects to self.
If a student violates one of the middle school agreements or otherwise creates a problem, I will do something about it. The action I take will depend on what the student did and how willing he or she is to fix the problem. I will always do my best to ensure that consequences are fair and provide students the opportunity to learn from their mistakes. If a student feels that a consequence is unfair, I am glad to discuss this with the student and consider other options when appropriate.
