About the Coach

     Coach Storlie will be beginning his 25th year as the Head Baseball Coach here at Fall Creek High School.  He became head coach in 1989 and took that team to the school's first ever WIAA State Tournament appearance and finished Class "C" Runners-up.  The Crickets beat Stratford in the State Semi-Final by the score of 10-4, then losing to undefeated Wisconsin Heights 9-3 in the State Championship game.  Under Coach Storlie the Crickets have posted a  258 - 198 record.  Coach Storlie has been listed as one of the Top Thirty Active Coaches for most wins in the state at all WIAA Divisions. He was the Crickets JV coach, under Bob Miller, for three seasons (1986-1988).  Making 28 years of coaching Cricket baseball.

     The Crickets have also won seven conference championships, eight regional titles, and two sectional crowns.  The Crickets returned to the WIAA State Tournament in 1998, losing in the semi-finals to Wisconsin Heights, once again, this time by the score of 7-1.  The Crickets are a Division 3 school and play in the Spring.  Fall Creek is a part of the Western Cloverbelt Conference.  

     Coach Storlie was named, by the WBCA (Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association) as a coach for the West All-Star Team in 1995.  The Crickets have had three players named to the WBCA All-Star Team: Brett Grunewald (1991), Ryan Gunderson (1995), and Kris Jaenke (1998).

    Coach Storlie is a Physical Education instructor in the Fall Creek School District.  He teaches grades 4 - 12.  He has also taught Health Education and Driver's Education within the district.  Other coaching duties include Head Boys Basketball Coach.  He has been a part of the Fall Creek School District now entering his 27th year.  He and his wife, Julie, reside in Fall Creek and all three of their children: Holly, Matthew and Michelle are graduates of Fall Creek High School.
