Spanish I is an introduction to the Spanish language and culture. Basic foundation skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing are introduced with special emphasis on pronunciation and speaking. The student will be exposed to the basic vocabulary and grammar necessary for simple and effective communication along with culture and history of Spanish-speaking countries. The course is integrated with videos, audio, technology, educational games, and real-life language use experiences in an effort to better understand the Hispanic world. This class is recommended for those students who plan on attending a four year college.
