Math Interventionist Email Phone: 715-877-1034
I am so excited to be the Math Interventionist for the Fall Creek School District. This program allows me to give additional help in math for students who struggle with specific concepts. As the math interventionist, it also allows me to teach in small groups and present concepts in a "hands-on" manner. In addition, I feel my role is to help any parent who has questions in how to help to their child with math concepts.
I love what I do because I truly care about the hearts of children. I understand the gift of encouragement and the power I have to change my students' lives for the better. Without a doubt, I love teaching, and I want my students to love learning and to feel they are understood and matter.
My Family and Interests
I live in Fall Creek, and I am happily married to my husband, Joel. He is my best friend. We are blessed with five children. I love reading, writing, gardening/flowers, photography, cooking, stamping, and most importantly, spending time with my family.
Education
I have two education degrees. My first degree is in Consumer and Family Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1988. My second degree is from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in Middle School/Early Adolescent Education with a minor in Language Arts (2008). In other words, I am a certified elementary/middle school teacher. I also have specialized training in math intervention.
