Course Description
Computer Applications I is a one-year course which provides students the opportunity to develop skills using current software applications encountered in the business world, college or at home. Students will learn the basic parts of a computer system including hardware and software. A variety of application software will be covered including spreadsheets and databases using Microsoft Office 2010.
Second semester students will learn digital photography and explore the techniques and applications of acquiring, manipulating, and outputting digitized photographic images. Photoshop, the industry-standard image-editing software, will be taught along with activities using the scanner and digital camera to produce sophisticated graphics for the Web and print.
