Course Description
Semester I This class is a one-year course designed to further develop technological skills and provide business applications to demonstrate technical abilities of students. The course will begin with students utilizing skills learned in Computer Applications II to design, update and publish web pages. Web Page development skills will be taken to the next level integrating Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, Adobe Fireworks CS6 and Adobe Flash CS6 to create professional, dynamic web pages complete with interactivity, animation and sound.
Semester II Adobe Premiere skills will be expanded using Adobe After Effects to produce motion graphics and visual effects for film, video, multimedia and the Web. Blender software will be used to introduce students to the world of computer animation. Adobe Encore will be used to produce full-featured, menu-driven DVDs. Recording, mixing, editing, and mastering sound will be accomplished utilizing Adobe Soundbooth. Students must pass Computer Applications II to enroll in this class.
