High School Social Studies Teacher Email Phone: 715-877-1107 Welcome to Mr. Prissel's Fall Creek Home Page. I am beginning my 20th year as a High School Social Studies Teacher with the 2024-2025 school year. I have had a wonderful experience in my first nineteen years as a teacher here in Fall Creek. I hope this year and future years go as well as the previous ones! As a teacher in a wonderful district such as Fall Creek, I am very thankful and fortunate to be working here! I am really looking forward to continuing my teaching career and continuing that career at Fall Creek!
As some of you may already know, I am a 2000 graduate of Fall Creek. The opportunity to "come home and give back" to the school, the community, and the individuals who have given me so much is an honor. Each day I am in the classroom, in addition to enjoying teaching our students, I find that I equally enjoy learning from and along with our students as well. After graduating high school, I attended the UW-La Crosse and graduated in December 2004 with highest honors as I earned a degree in Broad Field Social Studies (6-12). In December 2009, I completed a Master's Degree in History at UW-Eau Claire.
With the study of social studies being a broad field, I am teaching various subjects within the discipline. The courses I am teaching for the 2024-2025 school year are the following: American Government, American History, Crime & Justice, Social Issues, and Social Studies of Sports.
Along with being a Social Studies Teacher, I am involved with co-curricular endeavors. I coach in the following positions: Head Coach Girls' Volleyball and Head Coach Baseball; additionally, I am the advisor of the Fall Creek National Honor Society. Teaching our students outside of the classroom through athletics and N.H.S. is something that I really enjoy and believe is important. I am very happy I have the privilege to keep "bleeding green!"
If you are curious about some personal information about me, I have the following to share. On July 21, 2012, Sara Denure and I were married and celebrated the special day with many family members and friends. We had dated since our college days at La Crosse. Sara is the Director of Human Resources in the Chippewa Falls School District. We enjoy living in the great community of Fall Creek with our Irish Doodle named "Fergus". The rest of my family consists of my mom (Pat) and my brother (Mark). My dad (John) passed away in March 2010 from complications from an unexpected stroke. In his honor, a scholarship has been established through the Fall Creek Foundation. My mom lives in Fall Creek and is a "stone's throw" away from the school. Mark is a Podiatrist currently practicing in Ohio.
Once again thank you for visiting my department home page. I encourage you to keep perusing through my webpages and check out some more information about Mr. Prissel.
At any time, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. I want to be an accessible teacher for my students, their parents/guardians, community members, and others visiting my website.
Thank you, take care, and have a great day!!
Mr. Prissel
