Student Support Team
The Student Support Team (SST) is an interdisciplinary team that works in partnership with parents/guardians, educators, and the community to solve classroom problems.
The SST process was designed to provide support to the student and teacher through a collaborative approach. It is based on the premise that “two heads are better than one” when developing plans for students who are having difficulty in school.
Requesting a SST Meeting for a Student
Any teacher, counselor, or principal concerned about a student’s progress can initiate a request for team based student support. Generally speaking, any unresolved problem that impedes learning may merit a request for a SST.

NOTE: Parents should always be contacted by the teacher prior to submitting a SST referral to Mr. Strand. Parents need to be aware of struggles their children are encountering in school and have the opportunity to be part of the problem-solving team.
