Working with Mr. Strand
Talking to me is easy! I'm a friendly person who likes all students and I hope to get to know all of you! However, it can be very hard to know when you should make an appointment to see me. Here are some helpful hints:

You might want to see me if you have a hard time solving a problem related to school, friends, or home.

You might want to see me if you need someone to listen to you about something important in your life.

You might want to see me if you are having any strong feelings.

You might want to see me if something in your life changes.
Some Changes Are....
- Your parents divorce
- You are moving
- Your pet dies
- A loved one dies
How to See Mr. Strand
You can set up an appointment to see me all by yourself! To make an appointment to see me, you can do one of three things. You can:
Stop by my office and tell me that you would like to meet.

Tell your teacher or parent that you would like to meet with me.

Fill out an Appointment Postcard and put it in the mailbox outside my office.

Your teachers have appointment postcards that you can use to make an appointment with me.
Sometimes you might see me if a teacher or parent thinks that it would be a good idea. It might seem a little weird if someone makes an appointment for you to see me, but it will be ok!

What is it like to see Mr. Strand?
Most of the time, you will probably come to see me by yourself. However, you might also come to see me with a group of students. When you come to see me we might do a variety of activities including:
When you come to meet with me, I will listen to you. I will also help you solve problems that you might have with your friends, family, and others. I will teach you important lessons as you learn more about yourself and the world!
Another thing to know when you come to see me is that I can keep everything you tell me a secret unless you want to hurt yourself or others; or if you have been hurt by someone. The law requires me to get extra help for you in such situations.
