In 2016, the School Counseling Program began the process of updating and adopting new curricular materials for use in the classrooms. The primary materials now used in all K-6 classrooms is the Committee for Children's Second Step Suite.
The evidence-based Second Step Social-Emotional Learning Program, along with the Bully Prevention and Child Protection Units (coming in 2017-2018) align with the American School Counselor Association Mindsets & Behaviors for Student Success: K-12 College- and Career Readiness Standards for Every Student.
